About this place

This trailhead provides parking for the six-mile Box Canyon multiple-use trail. The first 2.3 miles are optimized for mountian bikes. The character of the trail changes after that(better suited to hiking use) and continues down to the shore of Lake Chelan. The trail ends in Box Canyon where a dispersed campsite is located. From Chelan, travel south on Highway 97A for 3 miles. Turn right onto Southshore Road (Highway 971) and go approximately 20 miles to Shady Pass Road #5900. Turn left and drive 1 mile to Breezy Heights Road. Turn right and go 0.2 miles to a Y in the road. Vear right and travel 0.1 miles to Box Canyon Trailhead.
