About this place

This trailhead is located deep in the South Fork corridor (off of County Road YXD) and serves as a popular trailhead for those wishing to ascend Boulder Basin Ridge to access Boulder Basin and other trails that intersect the area. The trailhead is popular for hiking, hunting, and a very popular trailhead for ice climbing enthusiasts. From Cody, travel south on State Highway 291 (South Fork Road) for 35miles and turn left onto Hunter Creek Road. Proceed down Hunter Creek Road for about 55.3 miles, and turn left onto the trailhead.
