Hike 0.6 miles on the Bigelow Trail (#520) is a link to the Butterfly Trail (#16) or the Kellogg Trail (#45). The Bigelow and Butterfly Trails are part of the Arizona National Scenic Trail Wilderness Bypass route. A fee is charged. Take the Catalina Highway off Tanque Verde Road in Tucson. Drive 4.2 miles to the Forest boundary and continue 19 miles to the Palisades Visitor Information Center. Look for the Bigelow Trailhead sign just before and across the highway from Palisades Visitor Center (the trailhead is also known as the Butterfly Trailhead).
