About this place
The Bierstadt Trailhead is located on the Guanella Pass Road and offers a variety of summer and winter activities. Facilities include parking, vault toilets and interpretive information. Visitors can access the Mount Bierstadt Trail (#711) or the Rosalie Trail from this trailhead. Due to high elevation, the area is not generally snow-free until late June or early July. Take I-70 West to Georgetown Exit 228. Go south on County Road 381 (Guanella Pass Scenic Byway) for 9 miles. From C470 take Highway 285 to Grant, turn north on the Guanella Pass road.
