About this place

This trailhead lies adjacent to the Salmo-Priest Wilderness area and provides a portal to the east end of the Crowell Ridge Trail #515 which provides high elevation hiking with spectacular views. The parking area provides room for up to six vehicles. NOTE: NFS Road 2012200 provides access to this trailhead, but it is only open to vehicles from April 1 to August 14 each year. The trailhead is not accessible until Mid May. The last two miles of the road are extremely rough and are not recommended for low clearance vehicles.
