The Wheeler Creek Trail (Map) is a popular because of it 's close proximity to the Ogden area. It is an easier trail built to avoid steep climbs and with a wider trail tread for sharing the trail with bikes and horses. Wheeler Creek Trail connects Art Nord trailhead to Maples campground just north of Snowbasin Ski Area. The trail travels across the hillside through a variety of trees, shrubs, and mountain wildflowers. Travel east on 12th Street in Ogden. Follow the road through Ogden Canyon. Stay on the highway, driving on the south side of Pineview Reservoir until reaching the first turnoff to Snow Basin Ski Resort, on your right. About 3.6 miles up this road, you 'll reach the Art Nord Drive Trailhead (with a sign). It 's located just after descending a small pass.
