About this place

The Queensbury Hotel was first built in 1926, and has been a member of Historic Hotels of America since 2017. This beautiful historic building was also added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2018. Historic Hotels of America is the official program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation® for recognizing and celebrating the finest historic hotels across America. The Queensbury Hotel has stood as a cultural landmark nestled within the foothills of the Adirondacks for close to a century. Ever since the hotel opened during the 1920s, countless vacationers and businesspeople have stayed at this magnificent building to experience the lovely local countryside. But the Queensbury also developed an excellent reputation as a popular gathering spot for thrilling celebrations. Its majesty grew to such an extent that many famous Americans began spending considerable amounts of time at the location. Well-known luminaries like Bob Dylan, Kenny Rogers, and Jackie Robinson have all lodged here at one point or another. Today, the Queensbury Hotel remains an incredibly popular destination for adventurers interested in exploring the serenity of upstate New York.
