About this place

This small lake is surrounded by a wet mud flat but the lake is surprisingly clear and deep. A boardwalk leads from the parking area to the edge of the lake where users can fish or enjoy the view of the lake. Mud Lake is located directly off State Highway #38. The parking area is on the south side of the highway about 1 mile east of the top of Skalkaho Pass.
