About this place
Designated camping area in Splains Gulch, close to Crested Butte. 5 sites are available and camping is allowed only in designated sites. Each site has a fire ring and is marked with a unit marker. Take County Road 12 west out of Crested Butte for approximately 5.5 miles to the junction with Forest Road 885. Take a left onto Forest Road 885 and find desingated camposites along the road.
