About this place
This open, sunny campground is located is aptly named for the meadows around it and is in the Hart 's Pass Area. No trailers allowed on Forest Road 5400 to Hart's Pass (very narrow road with steep drop-offs). This campground is a common base for hikers embarking on sections of the Pacific Crest Trail, or for launching a hike into the Pasayten Wilderness via a number of trails, or enjoying the meadows and views around the campground. Short hike to Slate Peak Lookout is nearby. A fee is charged.
