About this place
Hunter Campground is popular with pack and saddle stock users. The campground offers corrals, hitching rails, and an accessible mounting ramp. It is conveniently located near many trails that access to the Cloud Peak Wilderness and the Rock Creek recommended wilderness area. A fee is charged. From Buffalo, WY take Highway 16 from for 13 miles west. Then take Forest System Road (FSR) 19 west for 2 miles and go left onto FSR 396 and follow to campground entrance.
