Located just off the Pioneer Mountain Scenic Byway of southwest Montana, Grasshopper Campground provides many recreational opportunities for any outdoor enthusiast! It is part of the Dillon Ranger District of the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest, the largest national forest in Montana, and an easy drive to multiple full service communities. Dillon is approximately 42 miles southeast and Butte 69 miles northeast. Wise River is a small rural community 32 miles to the north that has a post office and small convenience store and gas station. A fee is charged. From Dillon travel South on Interstate 15 for approximately 3 miles. Take Highway 278 exit, then drive West on Highway 278 for about 22 miles. Take Pioneer Mountains Scenic Byway Road 73 north for 13 miles to the campground.
