About this place

Dumont Creek Campground, located near the confluence of Dumont Creek and the South Umpqua River, is a tranquil escape. A short trail leads to a small, rocky beach on a section of river that's perfect for wading. With just three campsites, you won't have to worry about neighbors (unless you count the wildlife, that is). A fee is charged. From Canyonville, OR, turn off of southeast Main Street onto southeast 3rd Street / OR-227. Continue on OR-227 for approximately 23 miles until reaching the town of Tiller, OR. Turn left onto County Road 46 (South Umpqua Road 28) and continue for approximately 12 miles. The campground is located on the right side of the road.
