About this place
Bootleg Campground offers solitude and chance to get away from crowds in shaded Jeffrey pines. The campground is across highway from West Walker River which has good fishing opportunities. Generally opening late May to mid September, weather and condition permitting. A fee is charged. From Bridgeport, drive approximately 22 miles north on U.S. Highway 395. Campground is on left hand side of highway in Walker Canyon.
