About this place
This campground is the first of several campsites along the canyon formed by the Yankee Fork of the Salmon River. Fishing for rainbow trout in the river, and interpretive and historical tours available nearby. Each site has picnic tables, fire rings with cooking grills. There is a Vault toilet. The sites accommodate trailers and motorhomes up to 32 feet. From Stanley, Idaho drive 11 miles east on Highway 75 to the Sunbeam Dam overlook. Turn left onto forest road #40013/Yankee Fork Rd and continue for about one mile. Campground is on the right.
