About this place
This forested campground is located near the West Fork Methow River and gives access to nearby hiking trails: Robinson Creek Trail 478 and Monument Creek Trail 484 entering the Pasayten Wilderness and the West Fork Methow Trail 480. Also a good base for scenic drives or hiking at Hart's Pass or climbing in the Lost River area. A fee is charged. From Winthrop, drive 15 miles west on Highway 20, turn right onto Lost River Road, drive 7.5 miles on pavement and continue another 1.5 miles on gravel forest road 5400 to Ballard Campground on the left side of road.
