Amphitheater Campground is located on the side of a mountain above Ouray, CO. The campground is tightly designed with loops and 35 campsites among oak brush and mixed conifers. There is a scenic overlook within the campground. The town of Ouray is nearby and offers full services. Amphitheater Campground is best suited for tents and smaller trailers/RVs. Total RV length must not exceed 35 feet. From Ouray, CO, travel south on State Highway 550 approximately 1/2 mile. Turn left at the Amphitheater Campground sign, on the switchbacks, and travel about one mile to the campground.
