Box Canyon Horse Camp is a primitive campground developed to provide access for equestrians to both wilderness and undeveloped roadless areas west of the Cascade crest. There is no potable water; (drinking; water). In summer, water is stored in a 1000 gallon holding tank with a spigot at the tank and piped into the trough for stock only (Non-Potable); check before you go to see if water is available. The campground is open year-round but access is dependent on Forest Service Road 19; (Aufderheide Scenic Byway) conditions.
